My friends always ask me to dog sit
Pet care experience
Like children, dogs respond best to positive reinforcement. I have a lot of experience in working with kids, and it’s translated well into caring for dogs. I have two dogs that are well socialized and are used to other dogs coming into their territory. I have the patience of a Buddhist monk, and will laugh and take a picture of a dog’s mischief instead of becoming angry. There's always a reason for a dog’s behavior, but they can’t speak to us so we have to be patient and use the signs they are giving us. I live downtown but I do have a fenced in yard, and an extra room to keep dogs separated while they eat. The bike trail goes by my place and with your permission that is where we will be walking. Or if you allow it, I can drive us to the dog park and your dog will be able to run around off leash (your dog will need meet all dog park requirements, and be able to ride in my car without trying to take the wheel). If I am needed to dog sit at your home, I’m not a thief, and I won’t leave the oven on or the door unlocked when I leave. I’m an all around trustworthy good person who loves dogs.
Reviews
Mike is one of the very few people in the world that I trust to take care of my dog. My dog isn’t easy to get a long with, he is a 75lb husky mix. Mike is very responsive with messages and is very flexible with his schedule. Whenever I leave my dog with Mike he always gives me updates on how he is with pictures. Everyday he takes them out for exercise, like walks, playing frisbee, and out to the dog park. My dog loves Mike so much, he gets so happy when he sees him because he knows he is going to have fun. I feel so good leaving my dog with Mike because I know that he will be safe, well-fed, and well-exercised.
