Hi there, I'm Mike and I've been a dog sitter on Rover since August 2014. During my time as a dog sitter I've taken care of a variety of dogs and have gotten a lot of experience handling different breeds. I'm typically only available on weekends, however there may be times when it's possible for me to take care of your dog during the week. My goal on Rover is to give your dogs the best care possible, while also being the most affordable for you. Why I love dog sitting I've been an animal lover since I was born. I basically grew up with my grandparents two basset hounds and cat. There have also been black and yellow labs, bulldogs, and other cats in the family as well, but they were never mine. I've never actually had my own dog, but have never met a dog who doesn't like me.

Mike took care of our three little dogs Molly, Milo, and Meeko. He took the time to visit them before the scheduled stay to get to know them, and then took excellent care of our babies for several days. I would recommend him to any others looking for a caring and excellent dog sitter.
This was our first time using the rover service and it was a great experience. Mike came over to my house before hand to meet the dogs and get the lay of the land. He was very professional and great with my dog. We had a few minute last requests for Mike and he was very accomodating. I would recommmend Mike to anyone and we will be using him in the future!! I have never left my dog for more than 3 days - the 8 days he was with Mike, I had no worries. Mike took him to the dog park everyday and took great care of him. He will continue to be my dogsitter. :-)
Mike is responsive and accommodating. He takes care of multiple dogs and asked us and made sure it is agreed in advance.

Before sitting a dog, I need to know if they have any special needs, for example if they need medication. I also like to know what time you usually feed them. I don't have any breed preferences in terms of what kind of breed I want to dog sit, but my favorite dogs would have to be Siberian Huskies, German Shepherds, English Mastiffs, and any other big dog breeds.
A typical day
Your dog's sleeping arrangement I let the dog choose where to sleep, usually they jump right up onto my bed or couch; but if you don't allow that or if your dog typically sleeps in a cage I will do that. Time I'll spend with your dog I'll be with your dogs all day typically, unless I need to run out of the house for something quick. I take dogs for four walks per day and sometimes go to the dog park if your dog is well socialized. Time I'll spend with your dog As much time as you request, I'll be available the whole day.
