I have grown up around large breed dogs my entire life. I was in the process of becoming a K9 police officer when I was injured on duty which forced me into an early retirement. Over the years of had many dogs including a Beagal, German Shepards, Wolf Hounds, Mastifs, Great Danes and Black Mouth Curs. I've worked with several rescue/adoption organizations working with difficult to place dogs to ensure the dogs are placed with the best family for the dogs disposition. My current dog is a Black Mouth Cur which was a rescue after the shelter she was in was destroyed during hurricane Sandy. While working as a Police Officer I was one of only two officers that as able to work with a particularly aggressive K9. I've never encountered a dog that has been too challenging to me and I have a great amount of patients with dogs that others may feel to be to difficult to work with.
