Hi, my name is Mikayla! I have lived and worked with dogs my entire life, and I’m always so excited to play with a new four-legged friend. Last year, I adopted a mixed-breed boy, Alfred, and he’s been keeping me entertained since day one! He’s a high-energy dog who gets along with everyone, and is always open to play dates.

I left my 1year Shiba Inu with Mikayla for a day stay. She would update me and send photos throughout the stay. My little guy got along very well with her own dog and he looked like he has a wonderful time with walks and playtime at the park and in her fenced in yard. Will definitely choose Mikayla again. Highly recommend!!
Mikayla has a deep love for dogs, as I’ve seen from her years of loving and responsible care of my 2 dogs. Mikayla loves getting active and playing or taking them for a walk or just curling up with them to have some down time. Mikayla gives great care in all her work, and being responsible for a love-filled dog is no different.
Mikayla loves dogs! She smiles & talks to every dog she meets! She’s responsible, punctual, so caring & compassionate! Dogs are lucky to experience her!

I have a car, and am super close (both walking and driving) to many dog parks in the East Somerville area. I also have a front yard for easy potty breaks! Alfred also enjoys hiking on trails, so we do that often, too! Inside the home, the dog is usually sleeping on the bed or the floor for nighttime, and roams freely, including furniture, during the day.

A typical day
We always work in a long (1-2 mile) morning, afternoon, and evening walks. This usually includes stops at dog parks to get the zoomies out and running! In between, there’s a multitude of toys around the home to play with, with any time access to water and food.

Availability
I am currently only working part-time as a nurse, so my schedule is incredibly flexible for any play date. Alfred enjoys walks 3-4 times a day and is pretty high-energy, so we are always playing, walking, or visiting a dog park.
