Pet care experience
I attended a dog training school in 2021 where students got hands on learning/training by being given 3-4 rescue dogs to train while we lived on the campus for 5 months. Students also did a ton of book work studying how dogs mind work and how dogs think. Right out of dog training school, I worked at a board and train facility where I trained 4-6 dogs at one time every month on basic home manners and some off leash manners. Then I expanded my knowledge by working at a dog daycare and boarding facility. I analyzed dog behavior on the daily to prevent or breakup altercations as well as administering medication as needed. Both facilities I was re-certified in canine first aid and cpr. I have took care of a local breeders facility, having 14 adult dogs and multiple puppies, while they took a much needed family vacation. (See reviews for reference)

Mikayla did an amazing job watching my two pups and cat! She sent pictures every day we were gone (they were super cute and never pose like that for me lol). I love that she came and met the dogs a few weeks before we actually left, it made me feel better about leaving them. 10/10 recommend booking with her!

I am canine first aid and cpr certified and keep a first aid kit, as well as a Gunner kennel in my car. Gunner kennels are one of the few crash tested approved crates so if your dog/cat ever needs to go anywhere outside of your property in my care, I can assure you they are safe. ***I will require meet and greets before the first booking to ensure we are a good fit for each other, this is no extra cost to you. I will take notes at our meet and greet to ensure in the long run I have all the information I will need for each visit/stay with your pet. If you would like to type out a sheet of any information you would like me to have, I would very gladly hold on to it and use it during the visit with your animals! If not, no worries that’s why I take notes!

A typical day
Both of my dogs and I have par-took in some dog agility courses for fun and to burn some energy for the dogs. I have taught my orange rescue dog scent detection, clicker tricks, very basic service dog tasks, off leash obedience and a rock solid recall. Availability
My schedule is quite flexible, I do house/dog sitting and training full time. I’m also pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Biology, all my classes are online currently so College will be no issue at the moment.
