I will love your pet like they’re my own and ensure plenty of pets and snuggles! I have constantly been around dogs and cats since I was born. I currently own two cats, Clover and Leo. Clover is a Lynx-Point Siamese Mix and Leo is a Brown Tabby Domestic Short Hair with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which means he has a cute wobbly walk. I before moving to DC I actively volunteered at an animal rescue with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. At the rescue, we have dogs and cats that are owner surrenders, strays, puppy mill releases, breaded releases, and animals from other shelters around the country. At a typical volunteer shift, I take numerous dogs and cats through our “intake” process, which includes vetting and photos for the website, and then we send them home with their foster families. In college I also volunteered at a feral cat rescue so I am very familiar and comfortable with cats and dogs of all temperaments and personalities. Before volunteering I worked at an animal hospital where I worked with both in-patient and boarding pets. I am able to administer medicine, clean ears, give baths, take stool samples, etc. I look forward to working with you and your furry family members!
