Pet care experience
Ever since I was a kid I have loved being around and taking care of animals. I started house and pet sitting in high school for family and friends, and think of it as a mutually beneficial relationship: the pet gets their needs met and I feel happy and fulfilled spending time with animals. I have one cat and two senior dogs, all of whom get along well with other pets. I am free Monday/Wednesday afternoons and evenings, Tuesday/Thursday mornings and evenings, and all day Friday/Saturday/Sunday for walking and house sitting. I would prefer clients in the St. John's Neighborhood or close to it. I also run several miles in the neighborhood about 5 days a week, so if you have an active dog that needs a lot of exercise, I can provide that!

Michelle took great care of our pup!
Michelle was great with our pup Scout, giving her plenty of snuggles and sending us a picture of her. Michelle was also a good communicator, responding to my messages promptly and being available for a visit beforehand. Scout got along well with her dog and came back to us very calm (which is saying something, because she is a nervous dog). Thanks Michelle!

Before a dog comes for overnight stay, I'd like to know a little bit about their disposition, energy levels, and how well they get along with cats and other dogs, especially because my dog is twelve years old and sometimes puppies can be a bit rough with him. I have no breed preferences, but do prefer dogs with a good understanding of basic commands and mellow indoor behavior.
A typical day
As I mentioned in my About Me section, I go jogging most days out of the week and would love to bring a dog along with me. I also live walking distance from a dog park as well as Cathedral Park, both of which are fun places to explore and sniff and even have social time with other dogs (if they're the social type).
