Hello! My name is Michelle and I am 27 years old. I am a teacher, so I have lots of time in the evenings, weekends, and summer to care for your lovely pets! I am able to offer dog walking in the evenings and dog sitting for nights and weekends and during the summer months! I grew up with dogs my whole childhood with my family. First, we had a German Shepard/Rottweiler mix who was so fun and large. He needed walks multiple times a day and strenuous exercise. Next, we thought a smaller dog would be nice so we got a chihuahua/maltese mix. She definitely needed less frequent exercise, but boy did she have spunk and energy! When I moved to Idaho 5.5 years ago, I felt lonely so I got a dog of my own from the Idaho Humane Society. I rescued him when he was only 4 months old and we have been best pals ever since. He is a small 9 pound terrier mix, but he has tons and tons of energy and loves meeting new people and doggy friends. I went on a volunteer trip for Spring Break through Boise State in March of 2017. We went to Kanab, Utah to work at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, the nations largest no-kill animal shelter. We worked there for a week with animals such as cats, dogs, rabbits, horses, birds, pigs, and more! I learned so much there and realized that I truly have a care and love for animals. I’ve been a pet sitter for one couple for about 4 years now. Her job required her out of town a lot, so I watched her pup multiple times a year. I also took her on walks whenever they had long days at the office. She doesn’t travel quite as much, but I still watch her pup a few times a year for vacations. For me, animals are a part of the family. I know that trusting someone with your pet is so scary. However, since I have a dog of my own, I know how important they are and how much to care and love them! I hope to meet your animals soon and let me know if you have any other questions 😊
