Hello! I am a college student pursuing a degree in Ecology who adores all types of animals. Please feel free to contact me at any hour (I'm kind of a night owl). I am currently living in Modesto. I am a dog Mom to one tiny chihuahua terrier mix named Twinkie who is my absolute best friend. Being able to pet sit allows me to help out others, and get even more hands on experience with animals. It makes me really happy to be around any type of animal because they are so loving to everyone they meet. Thank you for checking out my profile, and I hope to meet you and your pups/animals real soon. <3 On a more professional note, I do have hands on professional experience with cats and dogs as well as my own personl experiences. I worked with a well respected Veterinarian for two years as a vet assistant/technician in Modesto, so your animals will always be in good hands. I know how to properly handle animals of all sizes. Also if there are any health concerns or conditions, I am fully capable of administering medications (oral, injectables etc.) and monitoring animals so they are safe. I personally have owned all kinds of animals since I was a kid and have had plenty of hands on experience. I have owned everything from cats to dogs, turtles to iguanas and everything in between. The only reason I left the veterinary business was because the hours did not work very well with my school schedule. I also have 2 years of full time dog sitting experience for two dogs in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their names were Chet & Bebe, I can provide references if needed. I would love the chance to work with animals again, and this website gives me the freedom to do so. Why I love dog sitting The first dog my family had was a dalmation/pitbull mix named Lucky. I believe I was about 8 yrs old when we adopted him from a family friend. Lucky was the sweetest, most loyal, and handsome pup ever. We had him for 16 years before age got the best of him. Besides Lucky, most of my extended family, (i.e. aunts, uncles, grandparents) has had or currently have dogs. I have been around canines my whole life and I still get excited about seeing them whenever a stranger walks by with one. I always ask the owner if I can pet the dog(s) and just love the attention and interest they give back. No matter my mood I always knew that I could count on my dog (Lucky) to pick me up and make me smile. On top of all the experience I got with Lucky, I also worked as a vet technician/assistant for 2 years with a well established Veterinarian. In the hopsital I learned so much about gentle restraint and safety, sanitation, proper administering of medications and so much more. My experience administering medication I have been trained to administer medications to dogs and cats. I am able and feel comfortable administering oral medications(pill or liquid), injectables etc.
