Pets are members of the family. As a sitter, my goal is to meet the needs of your pet to ensure they have a safe (and fun!) experience while you're away. I believe in compassionate care and building trust with pet parents through open communication and setting clear expectations during a booked stay. Please be as descriptive as possible about your pet's needs, any behavioral challenges/considerations, and a clear outline of their routine so I can appropriately meet their needs. IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PET PARENTS: I do not accept bookings from clients who require the use of prong collars, choke chains, or electronic shock collars on their pets. My philosophy in offering compassionate, force-free care to animals extends to the type of equipment used on pets during their walks, and the above items aren't in alignment with my preferred methods. Michelle is amazing. She took great care of our two dogs, sent twice-daily updates with pics and lots of details, and went WAY above and beyond on the house — it looked better than we got home than when we left!
Michelle went up and beyond expectations, especially for my needy dog. Michelle was professional, kind, knowledgeable about pets, and caring. They were able to give medicine, apply ointment, and help with my dogs separation anxiety. They sent me multiple check-ins a day and gave me every update I needed. And the photos - wow!! I’m actually printing some out from the stay. What I was most impressed by was Michelle’s ability to read and connect with my dog. They knew Ruby’s mannerisms and even taught me a few ideas for future walks. The house was spotless after coming home. Thank you Michelle for being the best sitter I’ve had! I absolutely recommend Michelle’s care to anyone looking.

Whenever we leave the house, I make sure your pet is safely leashed, and I want to make sure they're in familiar environments that make them feel safe when they're with me.

Please specify if your pet: - has a history of fearful behaviors (growling, lunging, biting, etc). If yes, who/what are they fearful of? - is comfortable passing other dogs on the same side of the street - has a history of food/treat/toy guarding - has a history of ingesting non-food items, like toys/socks - has any food allergies - has any health-related issues I should be aware of
A typical day
I tailor my level of engagement with your pet based on their health, their age, and their needs. For instance, if you have a senior dog who prefers to sleep most of the day and go on small potty breaks, then I won't force them to go on unreasonably long walks if they don't enjoy them. However, if you have a young adolescent and energetic pup, let's bring out all the toys and do some long walks in the neighborhood!

I have a full-time job and I work from home. I typically have 1 booking per month, and I will usually work during the day in the home where I'm pet-sitting. This means I'm home with your pet for the majority of the day.
