Be safe, be loved, be happy!

Pet care experience

I have rescued and cared for cats and dogs my whole life. I was the kid always finding animals in need and bringing them home with me. That has continued into my adult life and I have also worked to reunite lost pets with their families. I am good at giving pets meds and have done this for my friends' pets as needed. Up until 2020, I had been working with adults with disabilities for 30 years, for the same agency. I was laid off due to Covid and I want to continue to help people and now help their pets too. This is my job. Other than walking and visiting pets, or running errands, I am home or close to it most of the time. I can be flexible and available at a moment's notice. Weekdays, weeknights, and weekends are open. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your pup occupied with playing and lounging. I can crate, if needed. I have a two story home and, if needed, your dog can have the upstairs for him/herself. It is completely separate from the rest of the home. My husband, Don, also loves dogs and is available to love and cuddle them too.

This was our first time leaving our pup and we are thrilled with our experience. Michelle exceeded our expectations, provided daily photos and updates and really went above and beyond to make sure we and our dog were comfortable with this arrangement. We will definitely be using Michelle’s services again!

My rescue dog Mowgli comes with some challenges anxiety aggression and touch sensitive which, is not easy to deal with. Michelle handled him like a pro. She was able to get his harness on and off and ironically enough Mowgli slept with her resting on her pillow above her head. Needless to say being the first time I used Michelle’s boarding service, I will be using her again. I can confidently say I recommend her to watch your pet.

Michelle was amazing. I got everyday photos of my cats as well as a detailed summary of what they were doing and how they were. If I ever need someone to pop into my place to check on them I 100% entrust her with my cats

Michelle and Don are wonderful! They truly love animals and took such great care of our dog. They sent photos and updates every day, and Roggie looked like she was having so much fun! We will definitely book with them again.

I have a fenced yard for play time. I can crate if needed. A typical day begins with potty time, breakfast, and morning play. Afternoons include about an hour of play time in the yard, followed by an afternoon rest. In the evening, it's dinner time, and then another hour of outside time to play, sniff, and explore. During inclement weather, we have potty breaks and all play time happens inside.

All breeds are welcome. Please let me know of any special diet restrictions, medical concerns, behavioral issues, skin care needs, personality quirks, what your dog loves and what he/she dislikes.

A typical day

There is often a variety of dogs staying with me. I will make sure your dog plays with other dogs they're compatible with. Play and interaction with other dogs is the most enriching, engaging, and physically intensive activity a dog can do, in my opinion. In the summer months, we have fun with sprinklers and kiddie pools.
