I am Only Available on the Weekends

Pet care experience

My house is very cozy and comfortable. It has 2 bedrooms upstairs, living room, dining room,walk-in kitchen and a roomy finished basement downstairs with a half bath, closets and a utility room. The front yards on the street are hills and although the fence is not high enough, my backyard has plenty of space. There is a shed in my backyard which looks like a tiny house so I call it the "garden house". The neighborhood is very clean and safe. About this sitter: I am an experienced (4 and 1/2 years) dog walker/ sitter, extremely reliable and very trust worthy. I love animals so much that I seriously wish I could save all the homeless pets and run my own sanctuary but that's not an option in my life right now. In addition to having my diploma in Animal Science, I have given hundreds of dollars to the ASPCA and Best Friends Animals Sanctuary located in Kanab, Utah. I would love to help you with your dog where he/she is most comfortable: in a safe and loving home. I am available to take care of your dog(s) in my house or yours...which ever you prefer. Please also check my calendar for weeks or days when I get booked especially in the summer time and holiday weekends. I have been a dog walker/pet sitter for 4 and 1/2 years and I absolutley love it! My first two clients hired me on the spot and they recommended me to other dog owners. In addition I took care of my neighbor's 3 dogs and macaw parrot more than a few times and I also have my diploma in Animal Science. My grade point average was 4.0. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover for 45 years, ever since I was a kid. There are 400 breeds of them which is why I don't have a favorite because each one of them amazes me. This job doesn't feel like work to me because it makes me happy. I love this job with all my heart...seriously. Meet my pets I have a 16 year old Main Coon cat who runs and hides from everyone except me and my son. She is declawed and spayed and stays in the finished basement when dogs stay at my house otherwise she is upstairs. About my yard My house is very cozy and comfortable. It has 2 bedrooms upstairs, living room, dining room,walk-in kitchen and a roomy finished basement downstairs with a half bath, closets and a utility room. The front yards on the street are hills and although the fence is not high enough to keep a dog safe, my backyard has plenty of space. There is a shed in my backyard which looks like a tiny house so I call it the "garden house". The neighborhood is very clean and safe. My experience administering medication Yes, I've given medication to a dog with food and I'm fine with putting the pill in the mouth. I'm also fine with injections if you show me how.

Michelle and her family took great care of Callie. Plenty of updates and photos were provided during her stay. Would gladly use her again as a sitter!

Michelle was very loving to my nervous little Libby. When I got home Libby was relaxed and had been well cared for.

Michelle and family took excellent care of our energetic pup while away for 10 days. She sent daily pictures and reassured us that he was ok and enjoying his stay. He was a very happy pup when picked up and will definetly use Michelle again to dog sit.

Information Michelle N. would like to know about your pet

I'd like to know about the dog's routine, medical issues, what the owner needs me to do in case of an emergency, and of course, all these important issues I bring up at the Meet & Greet get together...I don't have any breed preference but I do have a 50 pound weight limit for young dogs because of minor arthritis in my neck. The weight limit increases if the dog is old. I had no trouble with an 85 pound dog because he was 10 years old.

A typical day

I'm an affectionate care giver who's top priority is the dog's safety and well being. I'm make sure the dog(s) is comfortable and relaxed. Here's where we'll take our walks: I would take him around the streets in my neighborhood and also to a nearby park which has a small lake and a bridge. There are geese and ducks in the water. It's very peaceful at this park and my son and I often see other dog walkers when we are there however, if your dog(s) are not good with other dogs, we wouldn't go there. Your dog's sleeping arrangement: Your dog can sleep in my bed or a bed that you bring for him. If he's comfortable staying on the carpet during the night, that's fine too. The upstairs in my house is wall to wall carpet. The finished basement has only a few area rugs. Time I'll spend with your dog: I can spend 4 to 8 hours a day with your dog if you would like me to. Please note: One night of booking is a 24 hour time period so if your dog is dropped off at 9 am in the morning but pick up 5 hours after this time frame, there will be an additional charge of $10 (after 7 hours after this time frame, the charge is $15). I would send an extended stay request to you in this event and you would pay that way.
