Exclusive - One Client At A Time

Pet care experience

UPDATE: I am moving to Belleville, IL 9/29/23 Working with dogs is what makes me happiest and most fulfilled. I adore what I do and find joy in every dog that I work with. Working for myself has allowed me to show my children that it is actually possible to do what you love in life. I began my career with dogs as a professional dog walker, but soon realized that training and boarding were more my calling, so I began working exclusively for myself in 2015. I have been training my own dogs my entire adult life and had the opportunity to train a service dog in 2007 for my own use. She was with me until 2012 when she contracted cancer and passed away. Having her, training her, then losing her, was probably the single most significant thing that ever happened to me and has spurred my life and my career since. In 2019 I became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and consider myself a life long learner.

When Chloé and I met Michelle for a meet and greet I instantly liked her personality and knowledge base. I think she and Chloé are on their road to becoming good friends. Thanks Michelle!

We are so grateful to have found Michelle who took care of our 1 year-old rescue for almost a week. She is such a loving person with a kind and gentle and heart, and a loving/peaceful home. Having only had our dog for 7 months we wanted to ensure that our dog was comfortable and had lots of attention, and would know that she was safe. Michelle gave us lots of updates and reassurances as relatively new puppy parents. Thank you for everything, Michelle!

Michelle was fantastic with our quirky GSMD. He can be a little shy and nervous with new people but he took to Michelle right away. We got lots of updates on how he was doing and he was very happy. This was a trial booking because we need someone to watch Luke when we go out of town this summer. We have already booked Michelle for our summer trip!

Information Michelle N. would like to know about your pet

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: I always schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay unless you are arriving from out of town. What’s your preferred method of communication? Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? What is your dogs schedule for walks and feeding? What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? What’s the best way to spoil your pup? Does your pup tend to eat non-food items?

A typical day

Your pup will get as much yard time as needed and at least 1 walk. For dogs that enjoy water, I have a hose and dog pool in summer months. We also have as many snuggle sessions as their heart desires! I am gone for approximately 2 hours at a time during the day to do training walks on weekdays. I make sure to keep them on the feeding, walking and sleeping schedule that has been written down for me. Snuggles and loves are definitely a priority. We provide something for EVERYONE at Michelle's House!
