As always, Michelle was awesome!

Upon meeting Michelle, I thought she was amazing and very caring and sweet. We scheduled a meet and greet as I had expressed I had a very anxious dog. When she met him for the first time he barked like we knew he would but after a few treats he took to her amazingly. I was extremely happy and relieved to have found someone that would give him a chance. We booked the drop in visits. I had to leave the state for a week to go to Florida to pick up my kids and get a moving truck and pack the rest of our stuff to bring back to PA. We booked a week and a half in advance, 3 days before we left I messaged her to find out how we were going to go about getting her our house key, no response. I ended up having to call her after texting a couple times with no response. She answered and apologized and assured me she was just busy. We set up a time for her to come the morning of our flight. She came over, got the key met with the animals again, it went great again. The next day was to be her first visit, I scheduled to have 2 drop ins a day from Tuesday to Friday for my dog and my cat. I made a mistake on the first day and locked our back screen door which was the way she would have had to go in. She stayed until it was figured out and then sent me a bunch of nice pictures and a detailed message about the drop in. She did the next drop in for that day and it seemed like everything was going to work out. The next day her morning visit was the last time she dropped in on my animals. She told me she had a situation with another owner/pet where she was bit but told me that she was wearing thick leather gloves and that the dog did not peirce her skin. She told me she didn't feel good and that she was taking an antibiotic for the dog bite which was weird to me because it didn't peirce the skin. She ended up not showing up for the second drop in on the second day. I texted her multiple times (I should also add that she insisted on communicating through our regular phones instead of Rover which should have been a red flag for me but this was my first time ever using Rover) , I did not get a response from her until the last day she was supposed to have dropped in and only after I messaged her through Rover telling her that I filed an issue report. She claimed she had been in the hospital. Obviously if she was in the hospital she could not physically check on the animals, but there is zero excuse for the complete lack of communication. She left me and my animals in the dark. They are living beings and if I was okay with them being alone for that amount of time I wouldn't have hired anyone. My dog did not get to go outside to use the bathroom for 2 1/2 days. Both animals food had not been refilled for 2 1/2 days. She did not even let me know she would be going to the hospital so that I might be able to find someone else. I was extremely disappointed because I really did like her and she turned out to be completely unreliable. The only thing I can say that's good is she apologized profusely and refunded the days she did not show up.
