Experienced Pet Sitter & Dog Owner

Pet care experience

Welcome - my name is Michelle and my pup is Leo! 💛 I have grown up and cared for dogs my entire life, whether it was my own families dog, or my friends and neighbors pups while they go out of town. I adopted my fur baby, Leo, back in December of 2019 when he was a puppy and he is now pushing 4! We moved to West Seattle from the Dallas area almost a year ago, and are enjoying all of the new trails and parks that Seattle has to offer. Back in Texas, my boyfriend and I fostered multiple dogs through one of our local animal rescues. We had each dog live with us anywhere from 1-3 months until they found the RIGHT forever home. Each dog had extremely different personalities and demeanors, which is very similar to most dogs here on Rover. We are very experienced with all kinds of dogs, give them the time and space they need to adjust and get comfortable. Ultimately, we treat them as one of our own.❤️ We have a wonderful and safe neighborhood here in West Seattle. I work from home and always love having an extra friend around, but let’s be real, Leo is happy to have a friend to play with.

Michelle was great with our pup, Kona!! She kept us updated the entire weekend and gave Kona lots of walks while we were. Kona loved playing with her dog, Leo as well! We would definitely trust Michelle again to watch our dog and hope to soon in the future! Thanks Michelle :)

My dog Tillie stayed with Michelle and Gage for several nights. Michelle was responsive, accommodating, and flexible. We did a meet and greet beforehand, and Michelle dropped Tillie off at the tail end of the stay. She sent multiple pictures each day, and provided updates on Tillie's adjustment to the new situation. Tillie is old, and timid in new situations. Michelle did a wonderful job helping Tillie feel comfortable. Communication was outstanding, and I was comforted to know Tillie was well cared for. Five solid stars for this experience!

I treat my clients pets like my own! I am attentive, caring, and playful. We fostered three different pups for months at a time back in Texas, it requires a ton of patience and love but it is SO rewarding. I would do the same thing for anyone’s dog out there.

Information Michelle M. would like to know about your pet

The most important thing for me to know, is any type of behavioral issues. Is your dog food or toy aggressive, do you walk to the other side of the street if there is another dog coming (I typically do). It’s important to know if a dog has any recent injuries/surgeries that would require them to take medication. If your dog is a puppy, are they potty trained? Or do they have occasion accidents here and there in your home? Anything else - sensitive stomachs, separation anxiety, etc!?

A typical day

A typical day in our home consists of a morning walk around the neighborhood to do our business! Sometimes we mix it up and take a different route throughout the neighborhood. If it’s a weekday, I get to work and the dogs have a free for all on ALL the TOYS in our home (lots). We do a midday potty break and play tug of war. The rest of the day is naps, walks, and more fetch. Of course, lots of food and treats! Weekends are a free for all!! Sometimes we go to the dog parks (we have a few we frequent) depending on the dog and owner. Otherwise, it’s long walks and new places!
