Pet care experience
Caring for animals runs in my blood. My family owns 3 very successful boarding and grooming kennels in Maryland. “Countyside Kennels” in Owings, MD, “Countrysides Pet Resort” in Hughesville, MD and in Leonardtown, MD. I worked at two of the locations for ten years, staring when I was 12! Then from there I went on to the veterinary world, my passion! 3 years for Animal Eye Care, until I moved down south. I then worked 6 months at Branches vet in Tifton, GA and then Southside Vet in Moultrie, GA, where I am currently employed. I also have a side business, “At your service”, cleaning houses and pet sitting. I started that back in 2007. I also have experience in grooming! I have most grooming supplies needed, including nail trimmers for cats and dogs! I really hope I can help with anyone who needs someone to love and care for their pets when they cannot. Michelle and her family were so kind to me and my doggies. Michelle helped me determine if they were conveniently located, if our dogs were compatible and was available at the last minute. My dogs had a great day! They played, snuggled, napped, took potty breaks, all the things! She sent me pictures; looked like they had a better time than I did. I will use Michelle next time I am in town with my dogs.
Michelle did a great job of making our anxious pitbull feel comfortable! She sent lots of adorable pictures, which I greatly appreciated!
Michelle worked for me for a number of years. She learned wxcellenr dog handling skills while she was employed with us. Her duties included : Greeting clients and their pets. Feeding, cleaning kennels, administering medications and exercising dogs. Cleaning, feeding and petting cats. We were visiting Tifton, GA for a few days and wanted to find a sitter where our 2 year old active black lab could run and play and enjoy the day while we were sight-seeing. I requested the stay the day before and Michelle responded to my request within 15 minutes! Even though Michelle was 30 miles away from where we were staying, it was worth the travel to have a family so loving and attentive to Gus! Their home was perfect for Gus! Big wide open space to run, another friendly dog, Roscoe, to play with, and a dog-friendly home that met all his needs. If we are in this area again, we will definitely contact Michelle!!

I absolutely do not care what the breed is. I love them ALL! I have seen probably every single breed there is and to me every dog is different in its own way :) I am very good at reading an animals temperment and I know they understand me as well. I am that girl that sees a dog and understands them. If they are mean I will do whatever it takes to make them comfortable with me.
A typical day
I do not have a fenced in yard but it is a very big yard, fields actually. It’s a big giant play yard and a pond on a small dirt road! I have an outdoor kennel for potty breaks if I can’t walk them, but I usually take them on the leashes and Occasionally will take walks down the dirt road. We have plenty of doggy toys and I have all my grooming things ready when needed :)
