Ohana: Caring for ur pet like fami

Pet care experience

Aloha! I want to help you and your family member (dog/pet) feel less stressed about being away from each other! I noticed that every time I used a kennel service for our fur baby, our dog would get so scared, stress shed, nervous/anxiety, she would not eat, different times she caught kennel cough (which meant more vet bills), and our dog was definitely unhappy with the small kennel space surrounded by other upset loud barking pups/dogs/animals! I believe I can help your dog/pet feel loved, safe, comfortable, fed, clean, exercised, washed, fun/waggy tails, like family (have their own sleeping pillow, sofa space, and lots of play and cuddles) when you are away. *** only DOGS UNDER 30lbs at this time. I’m sorry I just had a second child I need to regain my strength back first*** Thank You for understanding My name is Michelle. I love animals! I used to volunteer at SPCA and Paw-sitive (Non profit, walk, groom, and feed stray dogs until they got adopted). I have housesit/housesat and dogsit/catsit/ bird and turtles-sat for friends and was suggested to extend my love on ROVER! (Side note: My husband goes to work during the day, and will be caring for our small dog while I can care for yours. We have a 3 year old that loves animals as well. We moved here to Milford, Cincinnati from Hawaii. We love animals and have experience caring for them, see pictures). I have went out of the way to teach my child to be gentle, slow approaching/no sudden movements, no chasing, be responsible, be aware and careful around animals. I want to help other families feel comfortable and confident to leave their animal with me. We have our Covid shots and boosters. I am home everyday (except 4hours out of the week, when we do groceries or friends farm, or kids play dates/class ). I keep my distance from crowds, we sanitize, and wash our hands frequently. I clean the house and wipe everything all the time. We got a new Hoover carpet wash, and our dog is up to date with shots! Your pet is safe and will be treated like royalty, pampered, loved like our pup/family! I have owned dogs most my life (had my first pup with the responsibilities at 6 years old, and owned/fostered animals for 20 years after) taking care of puppies, adults, to senior dogs (a pit bull, a Pekingese, Shih Tzu , then fostered a German Shepard, a Poodle, a black pup Lab), Taken cared of a Golden Retriever, a Pitbull, bulldogs, Soft- wheat Terrier, a bird, hamsters, turtles, a class pet guinea pig, and cared for friends cats too (see photos).… I have owned groomed raised our bunny to rabbit, and fishes (fighting fish, gold fishes, and a big tank salt water tropical fishes when in Vancouver, Canada). Yes, I have a small dog but our house is big enough to have another dog/cat/pet around (gated , be in separate rooms , and we have a finished furnished basement to walk, lounge, relax, run, play, and kept separate/away from our dog if need) …better than being left alone in a kennel!

Michelle was an excellent dog sitter. We knew Cookie was in safe hands while we enjoyed some Fall camping. When I got back into cell phone service on Sunday I was greeted with dozens of pictures of Cookie having fun and going for walks. He got a bath as well, and smells lovely. :-)

Michelle is the nicest pet sitter I never met before, she keep us updated with tons of photos every day and let us feel extremely safe when we are not close to my dog. My dog looks happy through out the stay and eat exactly what I told her to feed. Before she give my dog treats, she even texted us and asked us if it is okay to give him this and that. I would highly recommend her as your pet sitter no matter long or short stay.

I have a lot of room, space, toys, pillows, blankets for your pup/dog/pet (separated away from our dog), open concept spacious house, basement, and animal-friendly neighborhood. I live in a cul-de-sac with extremely caring sweet neighbors that know me/us. Several families around us have animals of their own and I know most dogs have been trained or gone thru training as well as ours. I also have an invisible fence if you want us to use that or an outdoor run free leash. I will text or email you pictures and FaceTime your dog/pet too if you like. Your dog/pet is unique and special to you so I will do my best to help. I will keep your dog/pet on a leash every time we go outside, so they don't go missing or let other dogs bother them. (Off leash free to run roam inside the house and I have a mini tread mill if outside walks and inside play is not enough). Our dog is up to date with all shots, vet visits, and takes medication for tick/flee, heart worms. We give our dog a shower and/or fun-bath once every other week and when she gets muddy. I can help clean your dog/pet too, let us know!

Information Michelle J. would like to know about your pet

Tell me about your best friend/family member (dog/pet)! I want to know their habits, likes, dislikes, preferences, favorites/treats, cannot’s, allergies, must-haves, must-do’s, food or any allergies! Let me know if your dog/cat/pet has any special needs, treatments, or behavioral concerns (I understand because I do the same for our dog). I first used Rover services when living in Hawaii and our dog wasn’t as terrified as the kennel services. I see the difference and the benefits of ROVER!

A typical day

I love seeing how happy dogs get after a good run or game. Tails wagging and jaws dropping/smiles! I will set a timer and walk your dog/pet every 3 hours (unless it’s an older dog, then 2 times a day or as advised). Depending on your dog/cat/pet, I will use toys, go to the park, walk at the park, play indoor hide and seek /tag /catch/ fetch (our dog loves games), read to, comb, whatever you and your dog/pet prefer. I strongly believe in physical activity, reading time (yes we read to and with our dog all the time), and getting fresh air /going outside for children and dogs/pets/plants are extremely important to me!

Your pet will be taken out for a run or walk at least 4x a day (usually 4-8 times with pictures)! Schedule: I take your/our dog out first thing in the morning, lunch, around 2pm and/or 3:30 after I pick up my daughter from school, around/after dinner time then right before bedtime too, and update you with photos! I will spend time with your dog/pet. I will sit with, read to, massage, comb, feed and pet (constantly check on, if they don’t want to be disturbed)! Even while I read to my child, or while we watch tv. I have taught my child not jump around, not rush, nor scare animals. She loves petting, walking, playing, and feeding animals as much as I do (see pictures). Plus my child will be busy with books, puzzles, class, crafts and tv anyways (if you don’t want her to touch your dog/pet). And my dog will be gated, separated, away from your dog/pet when we are out or when requested. My husband will be caring for our dog and will spend time with her, while I care for yours. I left my 911 emergency call taking position to be a stay at home mother. I would love to care for, walk, play, cuddle with your dog and take your dog to the park with us too (when warm)! *** ONLY DOGS UNDER 30lbs at this time. Thank you***
