Pet care experience
I've been dog and cat sitting professionally for neighbors, friends, and referrals for over 10 years! I've taken care of a variety of animals from young puppies, older dogs, groups of 5+ cats, hedgehogs, fish, chinchillas and more. I have experience walking all sizes of dogs, dogs that need special care when walking, and I have experience walking up to three dogs at a time. I myself had a dog for about 10 years! He had special needs in walking, getting around the house, and food. I am very comfortable caring for older dogs or any animal with special cares or needs. I am also a college grad who was a CNA for 3 years so I am well versed in monitoring health and any potential dangers around the house or outside. In addition, I spent 18 years of my life growing up in a house that did in-home daycare so I am well-versed in taking care of important things. (Side note: I do offer babysitting on occasion if that is something that overlaps for you!) I LOVE animals, and one of the main reasons I am making this account is to get to spend some time with some cute dogs and cats. I would love to meet yours. <3

I believe that if I am getting paid to take care of an animal, it is my responsibility and duty provide them with the best care possible. It is dependent on the animal-- if an animal loves to be pet, I will spend the day giving them love and pats! If the animal prefers to be left alone, I will give them space. If there are instructions left on specific cares for an animal, I will follow them to a 'T' to ensure the animal gets the best care possible. I will gladly send photos and videos to the pets owner if they are missing their baby to take care of them, too! :) Rates with multiple pets can be negotiated. I also love to clean! I can either leave your stuff completely and 100% alone or I don't mind mopping, doing dishes, etc if that would be helpful to you. :) I am a respectful house guest and would never clean anything or touch anything belongings without permission. I can also help with other task around the house. Price varies on what services work best for you and your needs and are up for discussion.

I think it best to know as much about a pet ahead of time as I can. I am open learning in the moment if I have a contact who knows the pet well enough that is available to contact if I have any questions. It's very important to know things like a pet's average behavior, any allergies, dangerous tendencies, things that scare them, etc in order to take care of them properly. I would rather be "over communicated" to than under communicated to-- It helps take the best care of the pet when you know more about them! Baseline behaviors and allergies are the minimum information I would need to know ahead of time in order to monitor for any unusual behavior or signs of illness.
A typical day
I LOVE exploring the outdoors and if your pup (or cat!) does too, I'm all for an adventure! I enjoy walking pets multiple times a day if they enjoy it too. If they're not much of a walker, I love lounging around and giving them lots of love and attention, too! I do enjoy going on walks on trails or paved areas, however, I always stick to a designated route if there is one in place, and would never choose a route that is not fit for the specific dog I am walking. I am open to dog parks, walking in new places, playing in the backyard, pretty much everything!

Availability
My schedule is open outside of my work shifts. I would like to spend my time when I am not at work at the location the animals are at when possible so I can make sure they are cared for and all their needs are met! I work full time in Bloomington. During the week, shifts are pretty routine, but Saturdays I work a full day so the shift is longer, but I could do the morning before work and after I get off + overnights Saturdays. I am off on Wednesday and have a shorter shift Friday. With my work schedule, I feel I am the best match for someone who needs someone overnight (late night and early morning break) as well as before and after my work shifts. Depending on the animals needs, someone else stopping in while I am at work may be good option for pets that require more frequent bathroom breaks.
