Pet care experience
Tom and I love animals and we’re usually at the top of the list to watch pets for friends and family. He grew up with dogs (mostly spaniel retriever mixes). I’ve only ever had cats but I’ve watched everything from pitbulls to bichons over the years. Walking, bathing, feeding, and giving medicine: you name it, I’ve done it. We live in an apartment on the third floor of a house. My parents live on the first two floors so we have access to the yard. I usually bring dogs outside every couple of hours. We have a long fenced in backyard out back that’s perfect for fetch and exploring (last picture we uploaded is of yard). We also have a driveway that makes dropping off easy on you!

I can’t say enough great things about Michelle and Thomas!! They were so accommodating and welcoming to our dog Sam, especially with the unpredictable travel issues I ran into. They allowed Sam to make herself at home, and the pictures they sent over showed she was acting exactly like herself. We’ll be back!!
Thank you, Michelle and Thomas! My 2 boys stayed 9 nights and frankly I think they were a little disappointed to come home with me. I got lots of pictures and updates while I was away. I really appreciated leaving my pups in loving hands. Definitely recommend, and would rebook! ?

So grateful for Michelle as she took great care of our puppy when we boarded him. She did a meet and greet first, our puppy was very much happy and felt at home. She was also able to discipline him as well when needed. He was very well taken care of and we are looking forward to board him with Michelle again.

We have a pretty big fenced in yard which makes it easy if your dog isn’t great with walks or isn’t used to being on a leash. We also put air tag collars on the dogs whenever we take them out of the house as an extra precaution. We never leave dogs or cats from different house holds alone together.

I think communication is what makes for the best stay for everyone. You know your pet so you know what they like best, what’s going to keep them entertained, what they’re going to be scared of, what kind of mischief they’re most likely to get into. We want to know about all of it because our priority is safe, happy animals.
A typical day
It depends on the dog and what they like to do! Some dogs love snuggling. Some dogs like long walks. Some like to play fetch. Some like to figure out how to get treats. I love doing all of those things.

Availability
I work in the Manhattan and my husband Tom works part time while he’s finishing a degree from home. The days we both work we have opposing schedules so any furry guests are only alone for about 4 hours. Often less because if my dad loves dogs and if he knows there’s a dog in our part of the house he’ll come find them and hang out with them. We also have a pet camera set up in the living room so I’ll check on them once an hour on the camera and Tom works nearby and can usually be home in 10 mins in case anything seems wrong. Also depending on the dog, I work in a dog friendly office so I’ll sometimes take them along to work with me but if you’re not comfortable with that’s it’s totally fine.
