Stay At Home Mama

Pet care experience

Dogs are family, plain and simple! I tell people we have three kids, two of whom happen to have four legs. I have cared for puppers since I was no more than 10 years old, and my love for being around them has only grown with time. We adopted Angel in 2014 as a terrified, skittish puppy who we couldn’t approach without her running away for the first 6 months. Over time (and with tons of patience and treats) she has blossomed with so much confidence! She is still unsure about humans, but goes bananas when she meets new dogs. We adopted our street pup, Ella, in 2017; we plumped her up and taught her home was a safe place she didn’t need to run from. Now she watches the clock for meal times and demands to be wrapped up in blankets at bedtime. She can have a bit of a Napoleon complex when first meeting new dogs; don’t worry, though, she quickly steps into her camp counselor/party pack leader role once the greeting excitement calms down. We have cared for dogs as young as 8 weeks old and as beautifully aged as 15 years old; 5lbs to a whopping 180lbs! Does your dog like to sleep all day? We have plenty of soft places to curl up. Does your dog like to sun bathe and romp outside? We have a large covered deck and fenced-in yard with lots of space to play and stretch out. The dogs have supervised free roam of the house throughout the day and I am an on-demand door opener for whenever they want to go outside. We welcomed our baby girl to the pack last year, and I am happily blessed to be home with our girls everyday as a stay at home mom. Our goal when you trust us to care for your fur baby(ies) is to ease your and their anxiety while you are apart and make them feel right at home with our family. Do you have an special requests for your pup? Whether it is bad separation anxiety, high energy in need of regular walks and playtime, diet restrictions, oral medication administration, fears or quirks…we’ve got you covered! Just let me know before the stay so we can plan accordingly to meet your doggo’s needs and help them feel comfortable. With having a one year old at home we do require any doggo friends to get along well with children. Our toddler loves being a part of everything her furry sisters are up to! We look forward to meeting you and your furbabies!

Michelle Was amazing right out of the gate, her precious family took care of my fur baby, for 10 whole days while I was out of town and right from the very beginning I was glad I found her. The meet and greet was short and sweet but went so smoothly because I knew cooper was going to love it there. Every picture I got was a joy because they were having so much fun. I was honestly nervous that he wouldn't want to leave. I will definitely go back to Michelle any chance I get, because they treated my boy like one of their own.... Thank you Michelle ❤

This was a very pleasant experience!!! Michelle and her family welcomed our little Dakota in as if she was there’s. We were updated and plenty of photos sent throughout the day. I would recommend them and will use them again if needed while visiting this area.

We have used quite a few dog sitters over the past few years. Michelle and her husband are, hands down, the absolute BEST! Michelle sent is photos and updates every single day and Daisy had a blast playing with her two pups. You won't find a better family to care for your pets anywhere in the area. Highly recommended!!!

Michelle and her husband were AMAZING! I usually have pretty high anxiety about leaving my dog but after we did our meet and greet, I knew Zeke would be in great hands! I got pictures multiple times per day and I know he had so much fun playing with Ella and Angel. We literally just got back from picking him up and he is passed out on the couch. If we ever need to go out of town without Zeke again, we will definitely use Michelle again!

Safety, trust & environment

With being home full time, I am here to provide constant supervision of the dogs in my care. Angel and Ella are happy to nap all day, sniff the chickens on the other side of the 6 foot fence, bask in the sun, and wrestle and run in circles out back. We have 2 medium size dog crates if your pup is crates and you do not wish to bring your own from home. I also feed the dogs in separate areas for meal times to ensure there is no food aggression. We have a gate near the front door to ensure no one bolts out the door when someone enters or leaves. I love to take a lot of pictures to update my clients throughout the stay on all the shenanigans their furbabies are up to!

Information Michelle C. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has particular needs or behaviors I should be aware of beforehand. What is their schedule like? Do they have specific likes/dislikes? Are there things that trigger anxiety or aggression, such as thunderstorms? With having a small toddler at home, we do request prior knowledge of any history of dog or human aggression to account for.

A typical day

We love spending time out back on the deck with the girls. We have two fans and water bowls to keep everyone comfortable. Ella is a desert baby from Arizona, so she happily welcomes company to bathe in the sun and heat. My husband and I both regularly walk the dogs, so if that is a part of your routine then it will be continued here!
