Experienced, loving pet sitter

Pet care experience

Training and caring for animals is my expertise. I love having a dog as a boss because it means play time and cuddles ahead. I tend to care for pets based on the owners’ preferences and have experience with senior pets as well as training puppies. Social interaction and play are a great way for your pet to stay healthy in mind and body. Rover is a unique platform for serving customers at home, your pets don’t have to be caged up or brought somewhere, they will feel safer and happier. A bit about me: I have been sitting with Rover for six years and have eleven years of experience in training, grooming, and sitting pets with Florence Pet Services. I have an associate degree in photography; you can expect lots of photos and videos of your furry friends! In my free time, I enjoy tag sales, gardening, exploring nature and pursuing a strong relationship with God and strengthening my faith. I have a dog named Willow and she gets along well with animals. (I have photos of her playing with my regulars on my profile.) She does not need to meet with clients though, she can stay home with her dad but she does like coming with me to clients that are dog-friendly! A bit about my services: House-sitting: I provide overnight care for your pets, while keeping them on their regular daily schedule. This service is all-inclusive, and I treat both your home and your loved ones as if they were my own. I send regular photo and video updates of your pets and keep you informed of anything related to your home. I provide light cleaning and plant watering services. Extensive plant watering or deep cleaning services are available upon request. Drop-ins: During these visits I provide potty breaks, food and/or treats at their feeding times, playtime and lots of love. Each visit I send a photo or video update along with how they are doing. These often are just a midday break from being in the house while you are at work. They can also be chosen while you are on vacation or away from home for an extended period for a minimum of 2-3 visits per day for dogs and 1 per day for cats. I require daily minimums for vacation drop-ins because of their separation from normal daily interaction, their need for potty breaks/clean litter, and to provide fresh food and water. (Minimums are non-negotiable.) I arrive in the appointed time slot (within 1-2 hours of requested time) morning drop ins are typically between 8am-10am, afternoons from 11am-2pm, and evenings from 5pm-9pm unless otherwise discussed. Dog walks: Walking is essential for a dog’s health; they need regular exercise to stimulate their brain and complex muscles. For a 30-minute walk we spend about 20-25 mins walking. The other 5-10 mins are reserved for play, pictures, getting them ready and settled, replacing water, and giving treats (if applicable). Photo and video updates are provided along with any pertinent information. 1-hour walks are similar, but with 45-50 minutes dedicated to the walk. I require bookings to be made within 48 hours after our meet and greet; this gives you enough time to decide and gives me the opportunity to have an updated and secured schedule. My cancellation policy is 7-day for house sitting and drop-ins and same day for walks. Please consider me as a qualified and eager candidate for employment with you and your pet. Feel free to contact with any questions! Thanks :)

Thank you SO much for taking such good care of our boy! Michelle was so good with Tripp, took the time to set up a meet and greet and really get to know our dog and make sure she would be a good fit (she was!) even though the roads and weather were not great. Michelle made us feel at ease knowing our dog was safe, happy, and loved in her great care. She sent AWESOME photos that were the highlight of our workday. I would recommend Michelle to anyone.

Information Michelle O. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if the dog has any medical problems so I can properly give medications or be aware of special care. I also ask if the dog has any problem around other animals or if not potty trained / accident prone.

A typical day

A typical day includes continuing their normal routine, regular feeding schedule and providing adequate water breaks. Active play is important for stimulation, building trust and providing a comfortable environment. Cuddles are always welcome and of course they will receive an abundance of love. Walks happen around the home neighborhood. If the owners are comfortable I am willing to bring to the park with longer stays or for more active pets. Additionally, I provide any needed medications in a timely manner. I have ample experience with giving both dogs and cats pills, injections and handling animals that have seizure or neurological disorders.
