Pet care experience
I have been pet sitting for about eight years ago. There was an abundance of dogs in my apartment complex, and a shortage of pet care professionals. For the nest year, I walked dogs about 4-5 days a week. Since moving to San Francisco, I have mainly pet-sat for friends, which ends up being for about a week once every month or two. I have always loved working with and playing with dogs. I am very active, so will be able to play with your dog for longer periods of time and keep up with your dog when they are excited. I now live in the center of the city and mostly dog-sit for fun. I have my neighbors dogs over at my home almost all the time just because I love dogs so much.

And every time Roo has come home a tired, and happy, puppy!!! tired puppy=happy puppy=happy humans. Absolutely wonderful person. Seems very just naturally good with dogs. Friendly, Helpful, Excellent Communication. Very good about giving updates and pics throughout day. I would highly recommend her to a friend.

Although I live in an apartment, there are several dog parks just a short drive away. Safety is a number one priority and as such dogs in my care are always leashed on walks and I only bring them to enclosed dog parks. Although my home is small, I have minimal furniture so there is plenty of space here for dogs to romp around. My home is completely dog proofed: there is nothing left laying around on the floor except dog toys and the cabinets in the kitchen are child (dog) proofed.

Has your dog ever been aggressive with people, children, or other dogs? How often and for how long has your dog frequented dog parks? Is your dog food possessive? Do you have a harness for your dog? Is your dog ever destructive with furniture and household items? Who is your dog's vet? Is your dog neutered? How often does your dog have accidents in the home?
A typical day
Depending on the fitness and activity level of your dog, I will either walk or jog your dog. For walks, I limit two dogs at a time so that your dog can set his/her own pace and not be overwhelmed. Depending on what neighborhood you live in, your dog will either get a fun tour of quaint San Francisco neighborhoods, or I will take your dog to play at Upper Douglas Dog Park, or Christopher Park. Upon request I am happy to take your dog hiking at Glen Canyon Park. And for dogs that love to run, I will jog your dog until his hearts content. I am careful to break every so often to hydrate and to check your pooches breath rate and energy level. For walks and jogs I use a pedometer so you know exactly how much exercise your dog is getting. At the dog parks your dog will be in chuck-it ball heaven. Soccer balls provided for those non-fetching breeds.

I currently work from home and am able to provide 24 hour care for your pet. Pet care is prioritized in my schedule and I make sure that the dogs in my care get all the exercise and outdoor play they need.
