Dog mom raised on a farm
Pet care experience
I grew up on small farm in Albemarle North Carolina where I helped raised animals of all species. On my families farm me and my 7 siblings were responsible for 13 cats, 5 ducks, 1 gerbil, 1 turtle, 1 snake, 2 goats, 1 bunny, and 1 dog and many fish. Me and my siblings had an animal sanctuary where we cared for every injured species including insects and birds! Dogs are my absolute favorite, and I currently have a two year old Yorkshire terrier, and am a godmother to a teacup Yorkie as well. Before I moved to Tennessee I watched three Yorkies, and one pit bull regularly. There has never been a time in my life where I didn't have a dog. Through being a dog mom I have learned how to not just take care of my baby, but also the dogs in my care. I will exercise, bathe, groom, and administer medicines to your babies as requested and will treat them with the same love and affection that I give to my baby. I believe that dogs are our babies and that's how I treat them! I also have many years of experience watching cats as well. I can't wait to love on your babies as well!

Michelle is one of only two people (outside of family) that I trust with my Teacup Yorkie. My dog is extremely small and shy and everyone who knows me knows I don't trust just anyone with her. It is always a relief when Michelle is able to keep her for me the few times that I do have to leave her home.

I currently live in an apartment in the country surrounded by land. My dog is potty-trained so he does all his business outside and loves playing in all the grass. We have many trails to walk on around our apartment, so we go on long walks about four times a day. I am willing to do whatever the client asks whether that is watching the dogs inside or letting them out for walks. I have sat for dogs that were puppy pad trained and weren't allowed outside, and I have watched dogs that needed a lot of walks and exercise. Either is fine with me, though I prefer long walks and lots of play time:)
Information Michelle C. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know his eating and exercise schedule, and if he is currently on any medicines and needs them administered. I would also like to know if he is good around other dogs, cats, and or people. I would like to know where his vet clinic is and if he is on any health insurance plans. I would like to know if he has a sensitive stomach and is on any special diet.
A typical day
I love taking dogs on walks around the neighborhood and to the parks if possible. I love playing fetch with dogs, because unfortunately my baby won't fetch. I love brushing dogs, and giving them all the tummy tickles they can handle! My Yorkie demands tickles all day long so I am used to high maintenance dogs:) I just love walking and being outside. I walk my baby on trails and I love to take him to our creek to look at the water. Of course whenever he is outside he is always on a leash unless he is in a fenced in backyard. I am also going to make sure if you have a small dog they don't jump as much because I know it's bad for their knees.
