Pet care experience
I grew up with golden retrievers and adopted my own abandoned pit bull/boxer pup in college. I went through basic doggie training with her. She enjoyed camping and backpacking with me. She lived to 12 years old and passed away December 2022. I have four children and they all miss her very much. I fostered six dogs in 2015, while living in Washington DC. I love being around dogs of every breed, especially larger breeds that are playful. I have four kids, born 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022, who accompany me on my dog walks, drops ins, and taking care of the animals. They absolutely love dogs, and especially cats. Since the passing of our dog, they treasure being around other people’s dogs and love the dog as if it was their own. The money I earn from Rover goes towards their school supplies and college fund. We are looking forward to meeting your animals and giving them some day time exercise and enjoyment.

Since we no longer have our own dog, love and care is giving to the dogs who we visit or care for in our own homes. We have the ability to take dogs on walks and provide meaningful play times during the day. The kids love giving out treats so be careful how many you send with your dog. They might all be used.

If the dog is dog friendly or not, so that I know if I can take him/her to a dog park. If the dog is anxious around kids, this would not be a good fit for him/her.
A typical day
My children and I take the dogs to go on walks around the block. The kids love singing while brushing the dogs fur. The kids also love to run with the dog around the house.

We are a homeschool family so our days are flexible. We have plenty of time to spend with your pets giving them the attention they need.
