I'm a stay at home mom with a routine. My dog ( half cocker spaniel and jack russell) goes with me daily to carline at 6:45 then on a walk after I drop kids off at school. I might do an errand or two and then come home to prepare dinner, clean etc. My sweet dog needs a playmate now that her kids are in school. She's inside and outside all afternoon. Then, we go back to carline. I'd love a companion for her as she misses her kids now that they are both in school. I'm not a professional dog person -just a mamma. I'd like to get to know a dog and family first before taking on a family pet so that it's a match on both our ends. My dog is 7 and she loves to play, then rest, then play then rest. This is why we are in and outside throughout the day. I do have a fenced area that I could put both dogs to play if I am inside. Otherwise, I'm used to my dog staying in my yard without worry. I have a cat and hamster and sometimes my kids may be home. I think I would prefer an older dog who likes to go for a walk, relax, have treats, be in close proximity to my dog, laze in the sun, be brushed and just be content to be part of our routine. Pick up and drop off could be arranged.
