I have had dogs all of my life. My family has 3 dogs that are ours, but we always have a foster in the home. My husband and I are volunteers for Speak St. Louis, which is a foundation that focuses on Deaf & Blind pups that are in kill shelters. We transport & foster them until they find their forever families. We personally adopted 2, one of which is deaf as our own. Speak STL does take in dogs without disabilities if a surrender arrives, but it's not the primary focus. Our current foster is 50% blind & completely deaf.
