Hello! My name is Michela, and I have several years of experience pet sitting. From dwarf hamsters to iguanas to miniature donkeys, I've cared for pets of several species and sizes! When it comes to dogs, I love all breeds of any size or age! As a dog owner myself ( I have a senior Cairn Terrier and a Pointer Mix puppy that's less than a year old), I understand how important it is your fur-babies get the best care possible. In the past, my pet/ house sitting jobs required staying over-night with multiple animals, sometimes for 7-10 days at a time. As per standard Rover guidelines, I do request at least one meet-and-greet before watching any pets to ensure they get to know me, and to help reduce any anxiety they might have while you're away! Outside of my pet sitting experience, I also have spent time studying human medicine and general biology, volunteering at KC Spay and Neuter, as well as previously being involved with the 4-H Grain Valley chapter (and "exploring" veterinary medicine through this organization). These experiences have allowed me some insight in to caring for animals with special needs or health concerns. I can comfortably administer medication (topically, orally, or via injection). I also know how to take care of dogs with limited mobility and dogs that require wheelchairs, after having cared for my childhood dog, a boxer that developed DM, for two years.
