Pet care experience
My name is Michaela Wells! I am 25, active and have been an animal care taker my whole life. I personally have owned a lab/husky mix through high school and college and currently have my chihuahua mix Zeus! I worked at the SPCA and on a ranch with an array of animals. Additionally I currently work with the SORAC department at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I am currently in between jobs but work weekend evenings as a server and am at the aquarium Wednesday afternoons. I have been on Rover on and off for more than a decade now. I am happy to discuss how I can help you and your fuzzy babies:)

We cannot say enough great things about Michaela! This was our first time booking through Rover and we were a little nervous. But Rover makes it easy, and Michaela was so sweet and accommodating. She sat with our Finn and Halle for two days at our home, and we arrived back to two happy and relaxed pups, and the house was clean and neat. Our Halle is 14 and was a little under the weather, but Michaela had no problem taking the extra steps her care required, and Finn was spoiled with an outing to the beach! We will definitely book with Michaela again!!
Great first time experience with Rover. Michaela took great care of our dog. Great communication and our dog seemed happy work her service as well. Thanks for your help.
Michaela was great with our two big labs. Came home to very happy pups. She sent us lots of pictures and videos of them throughout her time taking care of them! 🙌👏❤️
Michaela failed to show up the day of our trip (we booked her from 8 am - 3 pm). I even sent her a reminder email a few days before our trip. On the morning of our whale watching tour (which she knew about per our prior conversations) we were left waiting outside our room to leave for the tour at 8 am, but Micahela did not show up and did not answer our call. We called at 8:05 am and she didn't answer, but instead she texted back saying found out the day before that she was sick, and was not coming. This was too late for us to do anything. We would never recommend Michaela to watch anyone's pet - she has caused us to not go on a whale watching tour - and we had traveled all the way to Monterey for this tour. We would have at least had a chance to book with another dog sitter if she notified us earlier (yesterday - when she apparently found out she was sick). There is no reason she could not have told us yesterday, or earlier in the morning. Instead, she made us find out by simply not showing up. As a result, our plans were entirely disrupted.

I would like to know if they are shy or aggressive and fun activities you would prefer me to do. As well as how long they can be left alone and are they good with others? Are you interested in training sessions?
A typical day
I have my own transportation and my pup would love to accompany others on walks as well l. I will take them to the beach, or anywhere upon request. I will get in the water with them and play fetch or just relax and give them love if that’s all they need.
