Pet care experience
I worked as a veterinary nurse for five years and love all animals! I currently work as a firefighter and ski patroller. I know every animal is an individual with different needs and quirks. I will make sure your furry friend has a fun, engaging time while you're away. Throughout high school I did dog 4H and learned how to train and groom dogs. Throughout college I groomed dogs and walked dogs. I can administer oral and injected medications and provide dog first aid and CPR. I can offer engaging training activities and grooming. I'm your girl! I am in between firefighting and ski patrolling October- December and March-April! The rest of the year my availability is limited weekends and evenings. If I am housesitting I cannot provide constant 24hr care- I can spend the night and provide morning and evening services and a midday break. If I am administering meds I pay extremely close attention due to my background as a vet tech. I’ll always ask you if I have a question.

Michaela took great care of our pups, with regular updates & photos. The house was really clean & tidy when we got home from our trip. Would thoroughly recommend - it was fantastic to go away with peace of mind that she had everything under control!
Michaela is a very responsible, communicative, intelligent, highly trained and hard-working person with a calm and grounded personality animals like and a maturity and skill set pet owners like. I feel very confident she will do what she says she will do and that she will put some effort into luring out my cats and getting them the food, meds, and attention they need. It's really difficult to leave one's pets in someone else's care, and, with Michaela, I feel they are in safe and competent hands. Michaela is excellent!

A typical day
I enjoy hiking and exploring the river so I’ll always bring your dog if they are trained for outdoor activities! If your dogs like car rides I can take them on errands.
