Pet care experience
I have owned dogs since I was a child and now have my own black lab mix who loves to play with other dogs! I live in a dog friendly apartment in Bend and would love to have your dog come stay with me and be active while you're away! Currently in between seasonal positions, so I have plenty of time to get outside with the dogs and have a great time! There are two awesome dogs that live with me, my own (Lola) and my roommates dog (Marlee). They both lead very active lifestyles, mountain biking, trail running, backcountry skiing and just hanging out with us outside. They both love to play with other dogs and would love more friends! Your dog will be in good hands!

Mike took good care of my dog while was gone making. Prompt to respond to any texts and kept me up to date with how he was doing and alleviated any concerns about his well-being while I was away.
Michael is the best! I was so at ease and confident leaving Forrest with him. I got an update and pictures every day. He was exercised daily and made new friends with his dog. I am certain Forrest didn't want to leave come pick up time! Overall, it was an incredibly positive experience and I would refer Michael to anyone =)
I left Huck with Michael and his dog for 2 nights while staying at a dog-unfriendly hotel in Portland. They hiked and played and Huck came home exhausted and super happy. I'll definitely leave Huck with Michael again on my next trip back to Portland.
Michael is a wonderful dog owner/caretaker. He is diligent about them getting the proper care including diet, exercise and love and attention. He has the patience and the compassion to treat animals and people exceptionally well giving both their due respect. He misses his own dog as well as the family pets and would make a wonderful pet sitter who I would openly trust with pets and people!

A typical day
My current job is wrapping up now so your dog will not be at home alone for more than 2-3 hours every day I'm watching them. When watching dogs I prefer to take the dogs to the dog park mid day and at least two other long walks throughout the day with small potty breaks when needed. If your dog likes hikes I will make it a point to go for a hike during their stay!
