Pet care experience
My name is Mike and I live in Hinesburg with my wife Hilary and our year and a half old border collie/lab mix rescue. Her name is Party and she loves on and off leash hikes and walks, playing with her toys, playing fetch, and running around our big yard with any and all other well behaved dogs! I am currently between jobs and looking to make a few extra dollars while I decide if I want to make dog care and camp my full time job or persue another job in the craft beer business where I have worked full time for the past 5 years. We have 4 acres of unfenced property in the woods off of Pond Brook Rd. Our dog wears a Dogtra training collar. If your pup is trained with one, we’d be happy to offer off leash time in the yard. We also have a huge wrap around deck with a gate and lots of toys for hours of safe and contained outdoor play, as well as two comfy and clean crates for nap time. Michael has been really great helping me out with Bindi, my 7 month old puppy who I just brought home from a shelter a few weeks ago. We've both noticed she is remarkably more outgoing and loving exploring outside more and more. He'll also bring his dog by to walk with yours (as long as you approve it first), so she gets a walk and some social time. I highly recommend Michael
We felt extremely fortunate to find Michael & his wife while we explored a few nights out on the town fur baby free. Their property was perfect for both of our girls to roam around with their new friend Party. His communication before & during their stay made it very easy for us to feel at ease with leaving Rooney & Zeva with someone new. He was very conscientious about their care & sent us pictures & videos daily. We will definitely be using Michael in the future & highly recommend him to others.
Mike took care of our dog Bela for three days while we were having demolition done on our kitchen. Bela got along great with Mike's dog Party. They have a huge yard the dogs can run around in and lots of toys for them to play with. It was clear Bela instantly felt comfortable with Mike and Party. Mike provided Bela with lots of attention, and kept me updated with photos. Bela is 7 so doesn't need constant playtime, and Mike allowed a good mix of play and rest. Bela came home happy and tired! I would definitely recommend Mike to friends, and will be booking with him again!
Mike and his dog host Party were great! Mike sent pics of Archer during his stay and gave me updates on how things were going which I really appreciated. Archer and Party became fast friends and that made me feel good when I dropped him off because I knew he was going to have fun. We will definitely book with Mike again.

We've got a huge yard and lots of backyard hiking paths for endless hours of fun and adventure. Our large yard is unfenced, and any yard playtime is supervised full time. When they're not chasing each other around the yard, dogs enjoy sunning, sleeping, and playing with toys on our huge, gated, wrap around deck or lounging inside on one of our dog beds with a bone or their favorite toy. We live right off of Lake Iroquois and frequently enjoy on and off leash walks around the lake.
