I did at home dogsitting for 4 years, but now live at a place where I can't have dogs, so I switched to house-sitting. Our pup Hank lovedLOVEDloved his stay with Michael (and his roommates)! I enthusiastically recommend Michael if you are in need of “substitute best friend” for your pooch while you are away. Hank is a senior rescue, who (because of the pandemic and me being a stay at home mom) had never stayed away from home before. Michael was the perfect sitter for him! Not only was he willing to give Hank extra pets, hugs, walks, and attention for his separation anxiety, but his work schedule was the perfect fit for Hank. I appreciate that Michael loves pups but does not have one of his own right now. Hank can be dog selective so being the only dog in his care was perfect for us. I absolutely will book with Michael the next time I need to go out of town! If your pooch needs lots of attention, needs to be the only hound, and is looking to meet some new human friends- think about booking with Michael! You won’t regret it! So far, my clients have all had a pretty good understanding of what information would most helpful in providing the nost enjoyable stay for their dog and myself. I don't have a breed preference, but was told by one client that multiple sitters had declined his dog because it was a pit bull. That dog was the most fun, intelligent, affectionate, well behaved dog I have cared through Rover to this day. If you can't find a sitter for your pit bull, call me.
A typical day
I have a private hiking trail that goes around the back of the 4 acre property I live on. There's an empty field at the end of my block where I run laps with client dogs or play fetch while using my 20 ft. extending leash.

Availability
I work from Monday through Friday, usually from 10:30 am until 7 pm. I am available before and after work. I have full availability on weekends.
