Pet care experience
Due to my full-time job as a police officer, I am only available during the mornings and early afternoons. I have been training and working with dogs for over 16 years. In addition to being a police officer, I do dog training and consulting on the side. I also run a working dog club for competitive Ring Sport (obedience/agility/protection). My current dog is a Dutch Shepherd. All of the dogs at my club are large athletic breeds, so I have no problem handling dogs of any age or size. During my Rover Walks or Home Visits, I can also provide reward based training on obedience, manners, heeling on leash, etc. I am physically active, so taking dogs on walks or engaging in high energy games is not a problem. I will cater my time with your dog to address the specific needs your dog requires.

Michael's knowledge of dogs and background in training them makes him one of the few people we trust with our dog. He is also one of the few people who our dog will feel calm around upon meeting a large group of people in a social setting. (Our dog can be quite protective). He helped another one of our dogs overcome her fear of walking on a leash and her fear of men. He's the first person we ask to dog sit or walk our dog whenever we are out of town. I have trusted him with the care of my human child as well!
