I've enjoyed the companionship and taking care of dogs for 30+ years. Very experienced with medium to larger size dogs such as Labradors, Retrievers, Huskies, Malamutes, Shepards, Pointers, Pitbulls, Collies, Spaniels, and etc. I myself currently have a 3 year old mix Husky (female, Bella) who I brought home from overseas. She's very active but also has some anxiousness issues due to how dogs were treated in her region so I'm familiar with dealing with dogs who have social interaction issues. As long as you are upfront and clear about what is common to expect I have no problem dealing with these types of dogs as long as they are not overly aggressive and we have some time to bond. I prefer to walk dogs in their own yard or neighborhood and familiar surroundings for their benefit of calmness... however, I also have no problem with taking your dog riding in my truck to a nearby dog park for fun either. Keep in mind though that my dog often also rides with me so if your dog(s) is/are hypersensitive to the scent of other dogs please let me know; I always try to give a check for my dog's stray fur and wipe things down to help mask any scents. I ask for people to let me know upfront if their dog is person-friendly and other dog-friendly... or if they tend to get anxious, scared, or aggressive around new people or other dogs. I will do overnight house & dog sitting for extended periods but generally, I do 2-3 night stays and usually not over 10 day stays without more than 3 weeks notice. If doing dog sitting at your home I will stay at your home but will also occasionally leave for periods to tend/check-in to other dogs. I will go over the schedule with you so you know and of course, your dog's feeding and daily care will be handled completely. I will not do any overnight stays with a new dog without having had a few drop-in visits first (minimum of two) to connect and bond. I do not think it is fair to the dogs to do so.
