Pet care experience
My wife Emily and I love dogs! We volunteer as foster parents for a local rescue organization. We’ve adopted two pups as a result :) We own a home in Freeport and we figure why not open it up to other dogs who need a temporary stay? Given the new yard and living situation, I would be thrilled to take care of your pup while you’re away, out camping or simply shopping Freeport as you pass by. I work well with all pets and and am comfortable with all dog breeds. I grew up with a wonderful Dalmatian and Emily grew up with an awesome black lab. We enjoy an active lifestyle and we’re sure we can accommodate your pet's needs, whether it be a walk in the local park or a backyard play session! We have a very active border collie / black lab mix and a golden lab mix both who would love to have a play mate!

While I don’t have a fenced in yard, we live in a heavily wooded area, safe from cars and other bad things for dogs. If you prefer your pet be leashed at all times, I can accommodate that too. Inside, we have a gated kitchen to provide a safe space for your pet if needed, and to separate our dogs and baby if needed.

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or anything else I might need to know ahead of time. We do have a young child running around, but he’s wonderful with our dogs, and we don’t allow him to do anything inappropriate. I would request that you let me know if your pet has had a negative history with children.
A typical day
If you’ll let me know what your pet likes to do, I can try to accommodate! If he/she enjoys playing ball, or walking, or just hanging out on the couch, we can make that happen to make their stay as pleasurable as possible!

Availability
I work full time in Portland during the week. I can provide drop-ins before and after work. On most Thursdays and Fridays I work from hime and can expand on services. Additionally, on some weekends I’m usually free to provide other services as well.
