Pet care experience
My parents bred and trained cocker spaniels and I also have experience with terriers and hounds. I have been training and playing with dogs my whole life. I enjoy walking the trails in Anchorage before work. I would enjoy walking your dog as a side job. I am flexible with my time: if you want your dog exercised, we will keep it moving, or if you prefer your dog have more sniffing time that’s cool too! I live a seasonal lifestyle and travel all over Alaska for work and can’t have a dog. So I’ll spend time with your pet!

I enjoy walking the trails in Anchorage and the neighborhoods between Northern Lights and downtown. I live on the first floor of a two story house. The home has a fenced yard and a super friendly lab mix upstairs. I also care for and train the pooch upstairs from time to time.

I have no breed preference. I do like to walk. I’d like know if your dog is friendly with other dogs and people. Most importantly, I want to know what you want, like level of exercise or social interaction- it’s your dog, I’m flexible.
A typical day
I like the trail system in Anchorage. I walk dogs along the Coastal Trail and Chester Creek Trail as well as the neighborhoods around Westchester Lagoon. I live on the bottom floor of a house on 9th St across from Delaney Park. The house has a fenced area for off leash ball chasing and if your dog is social, there a super friendly dog always ready to play that lives upstairs. My preferred time with your dog would be exercise, exploration and a touch of training. Basically, a fun and easy hour or two, walking the trails, sniffing what’s important and learning basic commands like come, sit and heel.

Availability
I work nights. In the winter I guide Aurora Borealis tours and those hours are usually between 7pm-6am. I wake-up around 12pm and live life until a tour begins about 7pm. Tours are far between these days, but I must stay-up late everyday to keep adjusted to the night shift. I’m available late afternoon until 7pm or be available until 3am if there is no tour scheduled.
