Fenced yard with a pond & 2 dogs!
Pet care experience
I live with my wife, our daughter, and our Husky/Retriever (5 yo, male) Maverick and Tamaskan (1 yo, make) Gambit. We have had dogs since we were children and have significant experience training and caring for dogs (I occasionally work with working dogs at my job even). We love dogs and are just looking for friendly pups we can look over that can double as a playmate for our furry friends on occasion. Our house has a very large fenced in yard just for the dogs, and we also have a pond and dock for docks who like to swim. There are lots of squirrels to chase, the occasional rabbit, chipmunks, and even deer on many nights. We also have a 10 minute walk to a dog friendly beach where pups who like the ocean can chase balls, seagulls, or just roll around in the sand and marsh grass.

Michael and his family are AWESOME with my dog Lacey. She is so happy to go with them and completely wiped out (in a very good way!) when she comes home. They do a lot with her and their dog and I feel so comfortable leaving her with them. It's really nice to be able to trust someone with my pup and not worry at all while I'm away. My dog Lacey stayed with Mike and his family last weekend and had an incredible time. I think she had so much fun that she was even disappointed to see me come to pick her up! They were active - walking, playing, swimming - and Lacey was completely wiped out after the visit!! She gets along great with Mike's dog, Maverick and they just play the whole time. Mike shared photos throughout the stay and kept me updated. I was comfortable with her being with them and know that she can't wait to go back for a visit. She tries to pull me to their home now every time we walk anywhere near their street. Also, whenever we see Mike and his family in the neighborhood, Lacey goes nuts (in a good way) and is so incredibly excited to see them. That just tells the story in itself...she lets me know how happy she is to be there. Thank you Mike and family!!!

Because we have our own dogs and a child we are only willing to book dogs that are well mannered and get along well with both other dogs (especially large breed dogs as our boys are 70 and 80 lbs) and children. If your dog has aggression issues, we are not the right home for you.
A typical day
We play with the dogs in the yard and often go for walks to the beach or around the larger grass area of our yard. We have a large pond in our yard that is no more than 5 feet deep at any point where dogs can swim if they like that activity (ours sure do!). We have too many dog toys in the house that our pups love to share.
