This stay never happened. First I sick and could not do it. So It was rescheduled to the following week. He had to work so it did not happen then. When asked for it to be broken up or a refund. He indicated that as he spent extra time when he was here he put more than this time in already. In other words, because he stayed here on his own time after what he was being paid for was over he did not need to refund or exchange the funds for a day a service was not preformed. Further on a daily walk schedule 2 walks were paid for but not provided. He cancelled the last 4 of 18 scheduled walks so feedback can not be given. In addition, it is important that it be understood what this day was for dog training. Micheal and his wife refer to themselves as "Dog Psychologist". He was working for us as a dog trainer. Even though, this is far beyond his education and scope of practice he was able to help us greatly, At least in the begining. He took a dog that was afraid of everything and hiding most of the time, helped her have boundries and be far more confident. With in this limited scope he seemed heaven sent. However, Micheal says that he follows the training system of the dog whisper. But this is not truely the case. He only follows the very begining of this system. The part that deals with setting your domination and contains pinning a dog to the ground (Alpha Rolls). When it comes to the more extensive understanding of a dogs instincts and how to use it deal with behavior problems. Micheal does not have the education required. Instead of helping he blames the owner (who is trying to use more advanced principles of Cesar Milan) that she is lazy and the only problem is that she has not followed the training. While he stands there lecturing the owner he stepped on the dog's leg and when the dog crys and trys to move away he corrects/punishes the dog for moving. As he was not looking at my dog at the time and because I don't think he would intentially hurt a dog, I have to wonder. This wondering is only deepend when I consider that this is not the only time he stepped on her; he and his wife believe in setting a dog up for failure so they can punish it; and they talk about punishing their own dogs by not providing meals or placing a dog on restriction for a week (Even Cesar Milan says that punishing a dog that longer after the event is only confusing to the dog.) In the end, I must say the following I would not say no one should ever have Micheal help them. Only that in doing so you go into it with your eyes open and fully informed. You watch your finances to assure you are not cheated (in my case $60). You know the training methods of Cesar Milan so you know how your dog will be treated. And you review the facts and myths and domanince training. With your eyes open decide whar you want for your pet. It may be that Micheal is good choice for your needs, but go into it informed.
