Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs my entire life. From little 14 lb pups to German Shepherds. Last pup: I had the pleasure of rescuing Guinness, a mixed Lab, and Rotty, 18 years ago. He had some physical issues that made him incontinent. I created a belly wrap with a sanitary disposable napkin, rather than putting him down. Guinness enjoyed 16+ years jumping through the snow like a deer, swimming in water like a dolphin, and snuggling on the sofa with loved ones or another dog friend. Throughout 30 years of caring for dogs, I have provided meds of all kinds. I also learned caring for a dog with special care needs takes patience and love. In return, you have a new best friend. Guinness enjoyed a raw diet, so I’m familiar with dietary restrictions. I also had to administer many different types of meds. Guinness had several surgeries over the years, changing and cleaning dressings and wounds is no problem. I also have owned and taken care of kittens, adult cats, snakes, and horses.

Michael took great care of our dog Lucky! He was easy to work with, communicative, sent us pictures and updates all along way. Thanks for making our first time with Rover a success. I would go back and do business again without question.
We love having Michael watch our girl gertie. He’s very attentive, caring and just a cool guy! He plays with them and just hangs with them. This is our second time with him and we will definitely book him again for our girl! She has come back super happy and tired! I would take that as an awesome stay!
Michael was caring and loving towards our two dogs. His yard and home were perfect for my two very active dogs. I'd definitely let Michael watch Ruby and Sloan again in the future. Thanks for everything Michael!
Micheal was great with our pup, will gladly have him watch Lucy anytime he is available!

My entire house and yard are dog-safe. My goal is to understand each animal I meet to ensure they feel respected and appreciated. Separation anxiety can halt quickly by this approach. Your pet(s) can enjoy chilling outside. I leave my front doors open while I work from inside. Otherwise, your pet can sit on my couch (or wherever they are most comfortable) and watch me type on the computer or watch some Animal Planet (I love taking pictures of their expressions and sending to you) In the mornings and evenings, I enjoy snuggling with pups as we start a new day or settle in for the night. Some pets prefer to hangout by themselves. That’s ok, too!

Information Michael H. would like to know about your pet
Does your pet have any special needs (medication, diet, injuries)? Does your pet play well with other dogs? Is your pet leash trained? If yes, is your pet more aggressive on the leash? How does your per react to loud noises, knocks at the door? What's a typical morning and evening for your pup? Sleeping: In a crate, on the floor (on their bed), on the couch, or on my bed? **Please let me know if your dog is aggressive in any way. I have had many dogs with aggressive behavior and I am personally OK with that. However, I want to make sure your dog feels safe, as well as those around us. *** Please note I do not take dogs or cats that haven't been recently treated for fleas and are not up to date on shots/vaccines
A typical day
I enjoy stimulating dogs mentally and physically. Remember there’s a lake if your dog enjoys swimming or fetching toys in the water. A fully fenced-in yard allows pups to enjoy the outside to their hearts' content. I have a 10,000 sq ft lot with a long side and backyard for playing. There’s a wonderful 1-2 mile walk through my neighborhood. Trail walks and playing with other dogs (if appropriate) can happen often in my dog-friendly neighborhood. Upon requests and with a leash-trained dog, I often venture into the PNW trails. Likewise in the winter we can go snowshoeing. Needless to say, having fun, and getting the zoomies out so we can enjoy some Animal Planet is a typical day.

Availability
I work for myself and from my home. I can handle most schedules and your dogs don’t have to be alone, ever. I live on a quiet street next to a lake and park with trails and dog parks minutes away. House sitting requests. I work for myself and from home; I would work from your home, while caring for your pets
