Pet care experience
I have been around dogs my whole life. Growing up I had a black lab named Casey who was the sweetest and most gentle dog in the world. Now I baby sit and walk my friends golden mix named Peanut Butter. I also take care of my coworkers miniature poodle named Clifford while she travels for work (usually 3-7 days). I did wag for a while as well but found the app frustrating to use. I am a very responsible dog walker and sitter. My dog was so important to my family and it was hard for us to leave her with someone. I will take the utmost care with your dog and will ensure they have a fun and safe time while I am with them.
Reviews
Awesome dog sitter! Mike took care of our elderly dog while we were away for a few days and was extremely responsible and had great communication the entire time. Highly recommended.
Another great sitting session with Michael! Our sweet Opal had a great time. Thanks so much!
A+ service and communication as always. We wouldn’t trust our dog to anyone else. Thanks you Michael!
This was our first time having Michael sit our energetic lab, Opal. He kept us updated throughout the stay and was gracious enough to host our pup in his home while we went out for the evening. Opal is a highly anxious but super sweet and loving pup, and we could tell she loved spending time with Michael. We will definitely have him sit again! Thanks so much Michael!

I will treat your pet as if it were my own. I understand that letting someone take care of your dog (or, if it is a house sitting) is a big leap of faith. I will treat both your dog and house with respect.

Information Michael G. would like to know about your pet
The best sittings for me are ones where the dog owner provides any instructions or preferences up front. I can accommodate a large range of requests, but prefer to know them ahead of time. For example. it would be great to know your dog's energy level, any illnesses or injuries, anything that can trigger them on walks, if they get along with other dogs, etc. I have a car and can take dogs to dog parks, if the owner is comfortable with them and the dog is okay with cars.
A typical day
I enjoy taking dogs for long walks to give them a chance to burn some energy and sniff around the neighborhood. If the owner is comfortable, I like to take the dog to a dog park so they can do some off leash activities (depending on the other dogs there) like play fetch, etc. If I am house siting, I like to give the dog belly rubs and play with them indoors too.

I am a graduate student at the University of Maryland currently. I prefer to house sit on Thursdays-Sundays, but am open to taking sittings Mondays-Wednesdays too. While I house sit, I will need to spend roughly 4 hours on campus every day, but will work with you to ensure that your pup is not left alone for extend periods of time. I prefer sitings that are reasonably close to College Park for that reason.
