Cozy Condo on Deschutes River
Pet care experience
I am 45, and recently moved to Bend from Seattle and live in a nice 1 bedroom condo. Most often there are two of us here. We both love dogs and would love to watch your small to midsize dog with good social skills. I have some experience with Rover from when I lived in Seattle. Currently, I live on the Deschutes river and the trail is two minutes from my condo. I am also open to trips to the local off-leash dog park if that is something you would like. We are right next to Pioneer Park, and have a lot of open yard space here at the former "Bend Riverside Inn and Suites". Let me know if you have any questions!

Michael did a great job boarding bandit while I was away for the weekend, he sent lots of pictures of their adventures together was easy to get in touch with throughout the process. Our guy was returned happy healthy and well exercised! Couldn't ask for more!
Michael was a great sitter who really bonded with Cosmo. We received great pictures and videos and know that he was receiving great care and lots of love. He gave him lots of great walks and treats. There was an incident with another dog during the stay but Michael handled it well. We have full confidence in him and would let Cosmo stay with him again.
Michael helped watch my older dog Ally over the 2018 Christmas holiday. He did a great job sending me regular updates and pictures. His stay included a mix of drop-in visits and hanging out with Ally at my condo. On the last day of my trip, Ally got sick and made a big mess. Michael really went the extra mile to keep me informed and even spent extra time cleaning up my condo - he even washed my rug! I'd definitely trust Michael to watch my dog again. He's dependable and considerate.
Mike has watched my dog Otto a few times in the past. He's done a fabulous job and Otto loves him. Mike took him for walks and made sure he had tons of love and attention. Otto takes some medications and Mike was always responsible about making sure that he took them. I'll definitely be using Mike for dog sitting in the future - he's great!

I prefer dogs with good social skills. I took on a dog named Cosmo who was agressive with other dogs (I was warned ahead by the owner). Cosmo was great with humans (and loved me to death) but not other dogs. On the last day that I was dog sitting, I took him for a walk, and when I opened the door to the stairwell (this was in Seattle), another dog was being taken down by his owner, and before I could pull Cosmo away, he attacked the other dog. I took responsibility for this, realizing that I should not have let the dog go first through the door. Fortunately, the other dog was not seriously hurt, but it gave me a minor heart attack. Cosmo's owners still gave me a 4 out of 5 star review, and were very understanding. But that will explain my slightly less than 5 star rating, which I am confident will go back to 5 stars soon.
A typical day
I live immediately above the Deschutes River Trail and next to Pioneer Park. You can tell me what activities your dog likes, and we can certainly do whatever that is (playing fetch in the park, or just walks along the river). Also, if your dog likes to ride in cars, we can take them along with us when we are out and about.

There are two of us, so it is unlikely that your did would be alone much at all. One of us is usually home at any given time.
