Hi, I'm Michael, an experienced pet-care provider. I have over 30 years experience caring and providing for all animals. I currently work from home as a writer for NBC and am a parent to two rescued animals. I have owned dogs of all sizes and breeds, and I'm experienced in animal training, specifically the clicker training technique with food rewards. I live in the Woodland Hills/Calabasas area with a large fenced back yard. I'm an avid runner who can also go on runs with your dog if you'd like. Dog parks, Lake Calabasas, and local trails are all great spots for a walk/jog with your pet. At the end of the day, I really want to get to your know dog's specific personality and temperament. All dogs are unique and getting to know each one will not only provide less stress for them, but for you as their companion as well. I'm happy to answer any other questions you might have.

MIchael is the perfect dog walker for dogs who have not been socialized with other dogs. He manages to control Kassie with kindness but firmness. In addition, I noticed that Kassie is now walking more relaxed on the leash...an added plus. Michael is also a very reliable and conscientious person. He takes his job seriously and enjoys it at the same time. I highly recommend him.
Murray’s the happiest dog after spending time with Michael. Michael takes thoughtful care of my old timer, and the bonus is just how well he sleeps through the night afterwards. It’s obvious Murray can’t wait to see him again.
Michael recently watched my English bulldog, Ciro, while I was away in Sicily for a couple weeks. My dog is normally uneasy around new people, but he was surprisingly calm around Michael. It’s clear Michael has a strong connection with dogs and all animals for that matter. He’s able to understand their personalities through compassion, intelligence and patience. It was evident in the first few minutes of being with Ciro, that he had a calming influence on him. Plus he has the energy and stamina to keep up with my dog. I rarely have the time to give Ciro exercise so this was great that Michael was able to provide daily exercise while I was gone. He was knowledgeable about dog care, training techniques, walking and other canine needs. It’s nerve racking enough leaving your four-legged friend with a stranger, but Michael helped to ease my anxiety. I trust him.
Michael is thoughtful, responsible, patient and playful with all the animals he's taken care of over the years. In return, it's clear they respect and trust him. His intuition and skills keep them entertained and happy. He's a true friend to all animals, and has a rare and precious gift that is obvious from the first moment you see him interact with your dog. It's a special experience watching him work with animals. I trust him with my furry best friend in a heartbeat. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, kind and fun to walk or watch their dogs.

A typical day
There are a handful of local dog parks in the area, but my favorite place to take dogs for a walk is Lake Calabasas. It's large, quiet, and usually unoccupied. There are vast grass areas for dogs to run around and play. I'm an avid runner who can also take your dog for a run if you'd like. For these walks/jogs, I prefer local trails like the Topanga Lookout Trail or Las Virgenes Canyon.
