Pet care experience
Pets are so kind and loyal. I think they deserve the same kind of treatment from us. Regular exercise, training / games, and just playing with them I think are important parts of care! We should communicate clear expectations about how to care for your pet, so that he/she is happy and you can feel comfortable knowing your loved one is receiving good care. I'm happy to take them on walks, play games, and even just spend time visiting if that's what they need. I have a fairly flexible schedule. I've grown up with pets, and learned from a young age to take care of and respect animals. We always had a dog, and my grandmother owned a bird store as well as kept horses, a cat, and honeybee's.

Michael has been a great pet sitter for our dog and cat. He is responsible and good with the pets, and we're comfortable leaving him with our home. He sends picture updates, and is great about asking questions or double checking on things. We definitely recommend him!
Michael has taken excellent care of Schnauzer for the weekend on several occasions. He's just such a kind person in general; we feel very comfortable trusting him with our dog and home.

I don't have any breed preferences. I grew up with a German Shepherd and now I have a Chihuahua. They're all fun in different ways. -- I like to know about dogs that "are runners" to be extra cautious -- Any medications or special care your pup might need -- Emergency vet info (better to be prepared!)
A typical day
I take my dog on a walk around my neighborhood every evening and she enjoys smelling and sniffing things along the way. Sometimes we'll also just enjoy the small park in our gated apartment complex. On the weekends I enjoy hiking up in the Sandia's and foothills and am happy to bring along your dog too! When I'm at home studying for grad school, dogs enjoy lap time and belly rubs. I have a pretty flexible schedule for house sitting and can make lots of schedules work.
