Outstanding Care For Your Dog
Pet care experience
I've owned dogs most of my life and that's why I'm starting this service. It is really hard to find good quality care that is dependable and reliable - especially if your dog has problems with traditional boarding in a kennel. I have owned Akitas, Shiba Inus, Australian Shepherds and Dobermans so I'm familiar with these and other large breeds. In addition, I've trained all of my own dogs. I have been told by lots of different clients that I am a "dog person". I will care for your pet like it was my own.
Reviews
Michael was very attentive to my dog who can be nervous in new surroundings. He kept me updated on how she was doing throughout the stay. He is knowledgeable about dogs and has a calm demeanor. My dog was very comfortable with him. I will definitely use Michael again!
Michael was very professional and looked out for our German Shepard. He provided daily updates with pictures that reassured us that out pet was in good hands.

My rates are higher than some because I only accept one client per stay with a maximum of two dogs. I require a "meet and greet" to ensure a "good fit" and will not accept a booking from new clients without one. I provide individualized care for your dog to eliminate stress and ensure the dog feels "at home". I believe dogs are most comfortable with people and feeling alone makes them nervous or anxious. I work to quickly establish some level of trust and attachment and basically treat the situation just like caring for a child. Zero stress is the number one goal and I want your pet to feel relaxed and comfortable. My house is set-up for dogs. Pets are almost always in the house with me. I also have a fenced backyard (with plenty of shade and cover). Basics like food and water, bathroom breaks, exercise and play are fully attended to. Dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds. I have a park and several bike trails nearby and usually try to get out at least a couple of times per day, or to do different things with your dog to keep them engaged. You are encouraged to bring beds, toys, leash, bowls and treats for the stay as this will help your dog feel more comfortable in new surroundings. I have an extra large crate that is available as well as these things if needed.

Information Michael B. would like to know about your pet
Dogs must be house-trained and preferably crate trained. I have experience dealing with dogs small, medium and large - but if your dog does not know basic manners or, has bad habits (for example - jumping on people, food aggression or excessive barking), we won't be a good fit. Please provide as much information as possible about your pet including their background, usual schedule and any special needs. If the booking is accepted and completed, I will need information about feeding, bathroom breaks, training, medical instructions (if applicable) and your normal routine. I will also need to know about how your dog interacts with other dogs, other animals and people so I know what to expect on walks.
A typical day
This all depends on the dog and their level of training. I have a park nearby and many different trails to explore and try to get out for several short walks throughout the day.

Availability
Since I am retired and home almost all of the time, my schedule is pretty much open. I believe my flexibility is very valuable. I expect your dog will be with me almost all of the time during the stay. My daily routine is to provide active individualized care and interaction for your dog.
