I've only had a dog for two years, whom I rescued from the pound quite honestly on a whim and he is quite a handful. But he has quickly become my best friend. I enjoy walking my dog and refuse to just "let him out in the yard" to play on his own. We play every 45 minutes or so when I am home. I believe in constantly being able to interact with him and work with him on his training and behavior. He has been a complete joy to have as a companion! We have some set limits on what he can and cant do (for my house). He has had other dogs stay over before and they have had a grand time. I hope to be able to help you keep your dog happy as well.
