I'm all about more wagging and/or purring! You can feel secure knowing that your pet will be cared for by an experienced sitter with knowledge of behavioral communication. I have cared for all ages, sizes, and sorts of animals: cats, dogs, fish, birds, even mice! I am a full-time sitter/walker, so you know that my only focus will be your fur, fin, or feather babies. An added bonus, I love photographing those in my care and my clients are really taken with their loved ones' portraits. I am retired from 23 years as a graphic design professional at Johns Hopkins University. You can be secure in knowing that your pet's care is my sole concern and primary occupation. I bring my calm demeanor and confident attitude to help your loved companions feel safe and secure in your absence, whether that is a long work day or a well-deserved vacation.

Michael took great care of my cats (and house)! He kept in communication throughout my trip, sending me the infamous professional-level photos mentioned in previous reviews. I felt secure knowing my fur babies were in good hands. Michael also took great care prior to my booking to ensure a smooth transition; he provided an extra ‘meet and greet’ so my cats could get used to him/get his scent. Lastly, he ensured, via communication, that I arrived home safely so that he knew my cats did not have any lapse in care. I would highly recommend Michael’s services 😺

I am able to take dogs out for walks as much as is required to maintain their accustomed schedules (except for the aforementioned midday time block). I practice safety protocols like proper distance from other dogs and people, careful street crossing, and constant monitoring to avoid ingestion of anything while on our walks. In addition, I always thoroughly clean up after dogs and direct them to pee on hardscaping instead of landscaping.

Knowing your pet's comfort walking near other dogs, people, or sounds is important for the best outcomes. Being vigilant while walking will keep your pup safe from encountering temptation and obstacles.
A typical day
Throwing a ball or toy is as much fun for me as it is for your pet. Offering treats for good behavior also affords that shared enjoyment. Keeping pets relaxed requires letting them become accustomed to my confident presence before giving them care and leaving them in the same calm manner. There's nothing better than open space to help a dog relax and release anxiety. I always search out those places for a dog walk whether it be a park, trail, or other public green space.

I have regular, recurring, midday walks which occur from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Otherwise caring for your fur family is my sole concern.
