Perhaps our expectations were too high or at least been clarified prior to Michael staying at our home with our dog Jasper. As it turns out, we should have better defined the length and duration of a dog walk, as clearly our definition was out of synch with that of Michael. Through our Ring doorbell technology, we could see activity as Michael and Jasper left and returned. The average walk time was 6 minutes. I guess enough to pee and poop but not much else. We also should have discussed the allowance of friends to visit Michael at our home while he sat for Jasper. As we had contracted Michael through Rover, I can only assume Rover would be held responsible should something happen, or something disappear during the couple of times Michael left his guests unattended in the home (although for a short time as explained above). Nothing did happen as I'm sure Michael's friends were respectful ofmmour home. On Sunday, Michael messaged us in the morning asking what time we would be returning. We advised "late afternoon" and he said he would take Jasper for a walk around noon and then depart. He returned from his 10 minute walk at 9:52 and departed at 10:21. Again, we should not have made assumptions and will apply our learnings the next time we interview a potential sitter for Jasper. Michael is a very nice guy and Jasper seemed very happy in his care. We should have been clearer in our understanding of what was to be provided.

Michael is wonderful. My dogs were thrilled to see him. Our house was left in perfect condition and our dogs were happy.
