I look forward to caring for your pup. Dog care comes naturally to me. I grew up in Des Moines (with Copper the Golden Retriever, before doodles even existed!) and left shortly after graduating HIgh School for theatre school in Chicago. After founding and running the successful arts organization, Elastic, I transitioned into dog care in the early 2000s. I started out walking dogs and taking small play groups to Chicago's many "dog friendly areas". This grew into clients asking for boarding and eventually led my wife and I to purchase a property in the country where we could give our dogs, ourselves, and our clients the best, most natural care in a calm rural setting. We created Canine State of Mind, a unique full service boarding and training facility located in rural NW Illinois, primarily serving Chicago clients. A family life change has led me to relocate back in my hometown where I thankfully have so many friends, families, resources and furry friends! I've seen it all and done it all when it comes to dog care: Puppies, Seniors, minis, mastiffs, end of life care, medication management, administering sub-Q fluids, extensive behavioral and training work...The canines can literally smell the calm confidence and trust in my body rhythms.
