Pet care experience
I've had a love for animals, especially dogs since I was young. I've always had at least two dogs while growing up. For me, it's fun playing with and taking care of dogs. I readily admit there is no dog that I don't love!! I've been a sitter or walker for about two years with clients I've gotten through word-of-mouth. I've done a few overnight stays but primarily drop-in visits. I've also volunteered at SPCA-Oakland shelter as a kennel worker over the last two summers. I received valuable training in dog behavior and proper care. I am pursuing my career goal to become a veterinarian in college because I will able to care for animals, which is my passion. Rest assured, you will have no worries with the care and attention I will provide your dogs!

Micah was very thorough with doggie care updates throughout our absence - she informed us when he was on walks, when he ate well, etc. She was attentive and open to all of our care instructions, including details about our house. She was consistent about messaging us if any clarifications needed to be made, which I appreciated. She was so sweet and patient with our dog, who has some nervous/reactive tendencies. I was impressed that she moved forward with taking on our dog care needs with little turnaround time. She is clearly committed to her work and passionate about caring for animals.
Micah is wonderful with my Abby and Maddie. They really responded to her at the meet and greet and they were happy and relaxed when I returned home. It’s good to know if I have to stay late they will be well taken care of. I even forgot to turn the alarm off and she took care of that as well.
Micah was great with my cat. The cat, who normally hates everyone, came right up to Micah the first time they met. Clearly she has a way with animals! She did daily drop-in visits with the cat for a week while I was out of town. I got reports and pictures and Micah even cleaned the cat box and some mess the cat made when I told her that she didn’t have to. Highly, highly recommend Micah to watch your pet. I will hire her again.
From start to finish, the experience with Micah was great and I would highly recommend her. This was my first time working with someone from Rover and Micah made it very easy. She asked the right questions in the beginning to help get me prepared and by the time I left we were both on the same page. I sincerely appreciate Micah's ability to communicate before and during her stay. I felt like I was in the loop of what was happening at home and I was confident the dogs were well cared for. I do have a more challenging dog who is less than a year out of the shelter. He took to Micah quickly and its obvious she is very experienced working with dogs.

A typical day
Activity and play-time are important so trail walks are tops on my list. Any kind of tossing game (balls, sticks) are great too. I'd also improvise, based on the dog breed and health.
