Hi! My name is Mia and I have been caring for animals nearly my entire life. I started pet sitting from a young age for family friends and neighbors and my duties expanded as I got older. When I was 11 years old I began volunteering with a non-profit animal rescue organization, and even lived there for a while. I have also worked full-time as a Veterinary Assistant at a veterinary clinic, and I have had four internships at the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital in the Community Medicine, Small Animal Emergency, Ophthalmology, and Neurology services. I also currently volunteer at two different monthly vaccine clinics providing free services to pets of homeless and low-income residents of the bay area, I have rescued and fostered dogs and cats, and I have a wonderful big dog and cat of my own. I have a lot of experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including fearful/reactive dogs and am comfortable and competent with dogs with any kind of behavioral or medical issues.
